Your wish is my command…
The fanciful pink-and-white façade of the Disneyland Hotel, the most emblematic of the official hotels, reigns over the entrance to the park like a palace at the gates of wonderland. Guests lavish praise on the hotel’s professional, cheerful staff, the fantastic views from the suites, and the majestic hall. Disney characters can be found wandering the corridors, much to the delight of young visitors, whilst an indoor pool and spa keep the parents happy. Another big advantage of staying at the hotel is the Fastpass ticket issued to guests, which enables quicker access to the rides. According to a number of reviews, the only flaw is the restaurant, which is something of a let-down compared to the generally high standards of the hotel. Prices start around €400, which includes entrance to the theme park.
Set within the Disneyland golf course a few minutes’ drive from the theme park, the Radisson Blu has the feel of a refined countryside retreat. This is a comfortable, high-end establishment offers a good range of facilities and services (indoor pool, sauna, hammam, massages, fitness centre, two restaurants and a free shuttle to Disneyland) for a reasonable price (from €120).
At Marriott’s Village, guests are hosted in private American-style villas. Generously sized, well-equipped, clean and calm, these individual lodges are a big hit with families visiting Disneyland. The swimming pool and spa, and also the attentive, helpful staff, have all earned this hotel complex a place at the top of the Disneyland-accommodation polls.
As for the Relais Spa Val d’Europe (from €90), which opened in 2010, its defining features are the warm, contemporary décor and the health and wellbeing facilities. The suites are all fitted with a kitchen area equipped with dishwasher, fridge and espresso machine, and the bathrooms are stocked with luxury skincare products. Families beware: the spa and swimming pool are only open to over-eighteens.
The Park&Suites Prestige Val d’Europe offers a similarly sophisticated atmosphere with its clean lines and sober colour scheme, large indoor pool and Aquatonic spa. Its suites are described as spacious and modern with comfortable furnishings, and guests judge the rates (from €85) as good value for money. A free shuttle service to Disneyland is also proposed.
