Affiliated Futuroscope hotels: different levels of price and comfort

Futuroscope works in direct partnership with twelve hotels range from low-cost to high-comfort.

The Campanile Poitiers and the Hôtel du Parc fall into the budget category, with rates starting at around €50. Both provide modern and comfortable accommodation without any frivolous service or particularly noteworthy features, but they do offer a location in close proximity to the park as well as functional family rooms (sleeping up to four at the Campanile and five at the Hôtel du Parc). Apart from the rooms, family-friendly features include an all-you-can-eat buffet at the Campanile and a games room at the Hôtel du Parc.

Proposing modern rooms that can accommodate up to four, the Jules Verne hotel (from €70) is themed around the author’s well-loved stories Around the World in 80 days and Twenty-Thousand Leaugues Under the Sea. Whilst the hotel remains relatively straight-forward in terms of facilities and services, this unique décor puts it in a slightly superior category.

The Inter Hotel Altéora (around €70) stands out for its facilities, which include an outdoor pool and a fitness centre for adults, a games room and mini-golf for the kids – something for everyone once you’ve returned from the theme park.

The Plaza and the Novotel don’t qualify as luxury hotels, but they do offer a significantly higher standard of accommodation. At the Novotel Poitiers Futuroscope (from €88) it’s the large pool and spa that set it apart. In a special gest to families, two children under fifteen can stay in their parents’ room at no extra charge.

The Plaza (from €88) is generally acknowledged as the most sophisticated of the Futuroscope hotels, offering a higher level of comfort, a modern aesthetic and a splendid indoor pool. The family rooms are well proportioned, well decorated and fitted with bunk beds, plus there’s a games room for children if they still have energy to burn at the end of the day!

Hotels in the vicinity: a wide choice of accommodation

The range of hotels located in the vicinity of Futuroscope is also diverse in terms of price and style. Starting at the cheap, basic end, the 1-star Fasthotel Poitiers Futuroscope is located a two-minute drive from the park towards Jaunay-Clan. This small, simple hotel offers brightly decorated family rooms at competitive rates (from €60) that can sleep up to four guests. Next up is the Mercure Futuroscope Alisée (from €83), a simple and comfortable 3-star establishment. This pleasant, mid-range hotel located 2.5 kilometres south of the park boasts quadruple rooms, an outdoor pool, a pool table in the lobby and a children’s menu at the restaurant.

Last but by no means least, the Château d'Avanton (from €80) is the most charming option and definitely the most historic, which makes a striking contrast to the futuristic theme park! There are several converted chateaux in the region but this one dating back to the 16th century comes highly recommended for families as it offers a self-contained apartment that sleeps up to five guests plus vast grounds where you’ll find an outdoor pool and a BBQ area – all just 4 kilometres away from the theme park.
